So it's time for an update! We have been pretty busy it feels like but fun at the same time. I just put some pictures up of things that have been going on. I did wax my legs for the first time a couple of weeks ago and i thought i was going to die while growing out my leg hair b/c it was so gross. Norris did not like it either but Trina did my legs for me and did an awesome job. It did hurt a little but not too horrible. After going through the experience i felt it was worth it for sure. My leg hairs are not so thick and it took forever for them to grow back! Less shaving is always a plus:) I also got a big bug bite (as you can see in the picture). I think it was a spider bite. It hurt!!! My B-day was last Monday! I turned 22! Getting old i know! It was fun. I had the day off of work. I had class in the morning that ended around 12 and then had lunch with Norris on campus. After I went to a hair school and had them wash and musash my scalp, which was really nice. Then they styled it curly for me. I am not very good at curling my hair so it was nice and pretty. Then Norris got off of work and we went out to get me a mountain bike for my b-day present but all the stores were closed early on monday nights! I think b/c of family night, only in Utah! After we headed to Chili's for dinner with my friends. It was so fun to have all types of friends their celebrating my b-day. THEN after we headed to my house to watch the Bacheloret. Long day i know but way fun. Well, Norris and I are trying to do P90X together:) It is hard. I also have a new job kinda. I still work at Tucanos and server but i am training to be a bartender:) as well. They get paid more so it is good! Norris and I are also taking a class together that starts up tomorrow and end at the beginning of August. It should be fun! I am planning on taking two more as well. I got my hair done this pass week, which is always fun:) And on Thursday night Tori and Big Norris took little Norris and I out for my b-day. I choose the Cheese Cake Factory b/c i love that place. It was fun! The weather is FINALLY nice up here and we can enjoy our summer days. We love to hang out and have some BBQ's with our neighbors and friends. Well that is pretty much it for now.

Ok i haven't posted in a while. Sorry! But something we have been doing lately is watching the Laker Games! We have our friends from our ward come over and do a BBQ:) We enjoy cheering for the Lakers and hope they continue to play well.

Funny Story

Alright, since Norris is probably going to tell most of you guys this story i figured i would blog about it. Yesterday i got home from church and there was a pile of dishes in the sink left over from the busy week! I decided to do them so that i would have clean dishes to make dinner. I loaded up the dishwasher as full as it could get and then i went to put the dishwasher soap in it. There wasn't enough to fill it and i had stuffed the dishwasher so i didn't think that would be enough. I didn't know what to do! Norris was still at church in a meeting, it was Sunday so i couldn't buy more. i saw on the counter liquid dish soap and thought that will work, right? I just put a little in the dishwasher and started it. Norris came home a couple of minutes later and said, What The HECK!! He pointed to the dishwasher and there its was, a bunch of foam just like in the movies but with the washer! I started to laugh and Norris knew what i did. We spent the next hour or so cleaning up! Norris is so smart and knew just what to do. He saved the day. I don't know what i would do with out him. Well besides that everything is going good. Norris and i have started a new semester at BYU. We get to drive to school together and then i come get him after work. We both have callings in our ward, YEAH! He is the young mens secretary and is doing lots with that and i am a primary teacher for the CTR 4 year olds. I taught my very first lesson on Sunday and it went pretty good. I need to think of creative ways to keep my kids interested. Coloring doesn't always work:) Well Norris has a new job at BYU as well and he likes it. He is an I.T. Tech for the teachers at BYU. He likes it! Other then that Norris and i love spending our Sunday's together and some evenings too! Oh yeah Norris likes to play video games when he has a little extra time:)

Fun Times

Well i haven't posted in a while but lots has happened. The school semester is almost over and that is exciting. I posted pics from Norris B-day. We went to The Cheese Cake Factory. mm mm Good. It was Jenny's B-day too. Norris is 24 now, he is getting older. There are some pics from Serena's B-day party she is 21 now too. After her b-day party we went Wal-Mart and got some Christmas decorations and put them up. Oh yeah there are pics from a date Norris and i went on a couple of weeks ago. We went to a UFC fight, which was fun and then to In-N-Out. They just opened it up here in Provo. It was good. I made Norris wear the In-N-Out hat:)

Date Night!

Norris and I went to Ozz this Friday night for our date night. We both have never been there before and it was pretty cool. Brett and Brianna told us about it. It's a sports grill and pool house. We played pool for an hour and Norris is really good at playing pool compared to me:) We went with another couple so we did teams and we won all three times. I felt a little bad by the third win. After we went to Red Mango, Umm, Umm, Good! It was a fun night. Thanks Brett and Brianna!

Vacation!

Norris and i always love going home to visit our family and friends. We went in the middle of August after summer classes were over. We has a fun filled week. Nick came home from his mission that week and theer were lots of b-days, family dinners, and fun activities. Here are some picks of our fun week. Oh i forgot to mention lots of surfing for Norris:) He tried to go every morning.

Sunday Drives

We have gone on some pretty drive the passed couple of Sundays so i wanted to show you some pick. We first drove out the the Lake right here in Provo to check it out a couple weeks ago. Norris and i never had been before and it was pretty cool. We found a little side road and we went off through all these swam areas it was pretty but lots of bugs.

We also drove the Alpine Loop with the family when they came up for the fourth, which wa pretty and VERY green. We stopped at sundance on our way down the mountain. It was so pretty. Norris and i want to go up there and hike soon.

This passed Sunday norris and i got up early and drove up to the Provo Canyon. There a places called Bridal Falls, which is really pretty. We hiked up to the base of where the water fall stops and then water runs down the mountain. You can see it in the picture. It was a fun activity to do together.

The 4th of July

The 4th of July was such a fun weekend. We had some family up here and it was a great weekend. We had big Norris, Tori, Jake, Vanessa, Sierra, and Ashton up here to celebrate our freedom. We had lots of great dinners and BBQ's. We enjoyed the parade on Saturday morning, the sunshine in the afternoon, and the stadium of fire in the evening. The weekend was was great!!!

Everyday Experiences

ok so i have some funny stories to tell about norris and i. Last week there was this big spider on the wall, the first one we have seen in this apartment. The spider was up high on the wall and norris and i thought ok how r we going to get it down and kill it. Well we both thought norris should shoot it with the blow dart gun. Norris' friend Steve got Norris this blow dart gun that works pretty good. So norris stands up on the bed and aims for the spider. Well u can tell by the pictures that Norris missed. He took like four or five shoots and missed. All the shots happened to land around the spider. The spider ended up falling and we (meaning Norris) killed it on the floor. It was a fun experience.

The other story i have to tell is when i was doing the dishes or cooking something in the kitchen and i stepped on something that hurt. I went to check my foot and i couldn't see anything, so i continued my business. Later that night my foot still hurt in that same small area. I said Norris i think i have a splinter in my foot or something. He looked at it for me and said i think it is a piece of glass. He grab some tweezers and a flashlight and worked his magic. Norris should be a doctor, he is great at that stuff.

Brenna's B-day

So my Birthday was on Sunday and i turned 21. Man its about time! Well it was a good day! We slept in after a busy week of working then Norris couldn't wait to give me my gift! He got me a card that sang and a willow tree carving. I also picked out a really cute purse that i was in desperate need of. I think i wore my old black purse for like a year and a half. Tori sent me a package with some really cute clothes that i am planning on wearing tomorrow for the frist day of school, summer term.I also got these way pretty earrings that i couldn't wait to get from my mom. After we went to church, we went to a friends for dinner and we watched the Lakers game. It was a fun night. Monday night we went out to dinner for my b-day as well. It was a great birthday!

Carpinteria Camping

Last week Norris and i were in California for a family camp out. We went to Carpinteria Beach and camped with Norris' family. It was SO SO much fun. Norris was in heaven b/c he got to surf everyday:) I was in Heaven because the sun was out most of the time. We enjoyed spending time with everyone, eating great food, the beach, the camp fires (with blue darts), eating smores, and the water (with a wet suit on of course). Dinner

So a couple of Sunday's ago Norris helped me make a really good dinner. We had some tri-tip to cook up and Norris called his mom on how she makes it. He browned it then put it in the oven and watched it till it was ready. MAN oh MAN does that tri-tip look good or what! It was prefect in every way. Norris was really happy b/c that is the first time he has ever made tri-tip. It was a great dinner. He made the mash-potatoes as well. He is a sweet husband that always helps with dinner when i need it:)

Hiking The Y

Yesterday, Norris and I had some time to spend together so we hiked the Y in Provo. It was my first time and I was really excited. We got to the base of the hike and parked the car. I said to Norris, "this is not very far." The "Y" seemed really close and like it would be a piece of cake. Well while we were hiking Norris made the comment, "It seems closer then it is, HUH?" lol It was harder then i thought. Straight up hill man, but the view was so pretty when we got to the top, everything is GREEN. I was glad i was able to experience the Y hike. I don't know how many times i would want to climb it b/c its straight up and then down, pretty hard on the knees, but i did see people running up it. That was impressive. All in All it was fun to do it:)

Cali Vacation

At the end of April Norris and i ended our finals and headed home to visit warm sunny California. We went to Disneyland, had a BBQ, laid out in the sun, exercised, hung out with family, went to the beach a couple of times, had our one year anniversary, and had tons of fun! So this Christmas was so much fun. We went back to California to visit family. Our flight home was a little scary b/c we left in the middle of a bad snow storm. Our flight was delayed twice but we made it to california safely. From the moment we got there it was so much fun. We did lots of fun things. We went to the temple on Saturday the 20th to do some family work on my mother's side and it was a great experience. Norris' family came and did a session with my family. After we had a great feast back at his mothers house, STONEFIRE Grill. The next day was my older brother's Birthday, which we celebrated with dinner, cake, presents, and stories. It was a blast. Throughout the week we shopped, visited family, made ginger bread houses (funny story, Norris and i had a little competition to see who could make the best ginger bread house and by the time we got home from granny's house we could tell who won. My house did not make the ride home. But i think we both made great houses.)
Christmas Eve was wonderful with family and the program Sophia put on. All the kids looked so cute. Norris, Marshall, and Rich sang a song and did a great job. Christmas day was just as good! we were able to see all our families which was great. We left the next day to come back home b/c we needed to move and work. Our vacation was too short but so much fun. We love our families!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving this year was a lot of fun. Norris and i drove to St. George on Wednesday night and came home on Sunday afternoon. It was a great time to spend with family. We visited my side of the family and stayed at my grandparents house. It was good to see all of my cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and of course my family. On Thanksgiving day in the morning we woke up early in the morning to play some good old flag football. It started drizzling on us but it was still fun. The big feast came around 3 o'clock with all our extended family. We had our big dinner, which was delicious, at the Dixie college old gym. We played basketball, X-box, pool, air hockey, and ping-pong. It was great for all the young kids. We played a fun game of basketball with all my cousins. We even played a couple rounds of Around the World Ping-Pong. On Friday Brittany (Duran's girlfriend), Amanda (one of my cousins), and i went SHOPPING, so fun. After shopping we went out to lunch with all the ladies. Later that night after dinner some of us went to see the new movie Australia and it was pretty good. Saturday we hung out with more family and played some cards. Sunday we went to a sacrament meeting at my grandparents church then headed home.

Our little vacation

So over Halloween weekend we went home to California, our home sweet home. We arrived Thursday morning and left early Monday morning. It was a wonderful weekend to go home. It did rain, which made me a little sad. We were able to go to Shane's football game, we shopped, ate some good food, played with all the little ones, trick-or-treated, voted, and best of all we were able to see our families. It was a great weekend to visit. Norris and I never received our absentee ballets in the mail like we were suppose to so when in california we drove down to LA to vote early. We arrived down there to this tent set up out side the office with about a 5 hour wait. We were fortunate enough to have Norris' mom with us who needed to run in the registration building to use the bathroom and we were able to run into the right people who told us to go up stairs and talk to them. We got our ballets in like 5 minutes and were able to vote. We were very luck. The Lord made it possible for us to vote. It was an important time to vote as well with Prop 8. We were very happy after. We were able to be apart of Prop 8 even though we are living in Utah.

It was Norris B-day 2 day ago, Nov 14th. We both worked during the day but we were able to go out to dinner at night. We went to The Chief's Table for dinner. It is a nice and kind of pricey restaurant here in Provo. I want to go somewhere nice to eat for his b-day b/c we really dont go out to eat, like ever, so i figured we would be ok going for a special occasion. Norris order Duck and he loved it and i got tenderloins with potatoes and shrimp to top it off. It was a very good dinner. After I gave Norris his Birthday Cake that i made him:) It was an ice-cream cake. He liked it lots! Norris had a great b-day. We also went late night, Saturday night and saw the new James Bond movie. It was pretty good. Something funny was after the movie Norris drove home and he was all pretending to be James Bond with the little green Honda! He is so funny!

Ward Halloween Party

We had a ward halloween party the saturday before Halloween and it was fun. There were lots of little little kids but it was still fun to dress up and hang out with the people in our ward. It was also cute to see all of the little ones costumes. Norris was a blind football ref and i was a football player. Cute, i know! In one of the pictures Norris is looking the other way calling a technical foul on me. Lol we are silly.
